Overview
Alpine Training Services is a full service canyoneering school offering year round in-canyon courses in Southern California, the Sierra, Arizona, Washington, outside Zion National Park in Utah, and the jungles of Mexico.
Programs are designed to go from being a total beginner all the way to learning canyon rescue tactics similar to the ones professional rescuers use.
Alpine Training Services’ school consists of full-day canyon descents where skill sets are learned in a hands-on do it yourself environment. With class sizes typically of six to eight participants, a bonding atmosphere is encouraged.
Alpine’s instructors are some of the best in the industry and carry certifications from the Wilderness Medicine Institute, the American Mountain Guides Association, the Professional Climbing Instructors Association, Peak Rescue Institute, and Rescue 3 International. In addition, instructors complete extensive in-house training year round to remain at the top of their field.
Alpine Training Services is partnered with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics as well as an active partner of the Access Fund. Both of these organizations promote conservation and minimal impact in the outdoor environment, deeply held principles of Alpine Training Services.
For nearly ten years now, Alpine Training Services has promoted safety and in-depth training in the canyon environment. Their programs have a flawless record that speaks for itself and they’re excited to continue growing the sport in the Western Hemisphere.
